My team did such a good job that we have completed our job. I was trained for 26 1/2 hrs and worked in the field for 48 1/4 hrs. That is less that 2 hrs work per hr of training. That makes it sound like it was a complicated job. NOT!
Yesterday we went to Winnemucca. I was assigned to a couple of places that are group quarters as opposed to tranistory locations that we are supposed to do. (Someone in Reno messed up). It was a couple of old motels/hotels. They have shared rest rooms and showers. One of the rooms had a do not disturb sign on it and attached to it was a note, but knock if you need something. So I knocked. He answered the door and said, "Can't you read?" I said, "Yes, it says, knock if you need something." He calmed down and was nice or at least cooperative.
Today was horribly windy but our crew leader wanted us to finish up today so we battled the tumble weeds and went to Battle Mountain. We had 4 locations to go to. One was a brothel. Just the madam needed interviewed. A lady in our group took dibs on that one. Nobody else fought her for it. We did 3 RV parks. One was brand new and wasn't even open yet. That was easy. Just as we were finishing our last location it started raining/snowing. We didn't get done any too early. So I got 6 hrs today and actually worked for just over an hour.
I look forward to sleeping in tomorrow. And then getting my taxes done. And scheduling a perm. And lunch with my buds. Of course I did not list them in order of priority. I know you are all sad to think there won't be any more census stories. Well I may share a couple more that I have left out and I may get called up to work again next month.

I love the sign, 'Do not disturb, but knock if you need something' I think that my kids think there is a sign similar to that on our bathroom door, "do not disturb, but walk right in if you need anything!"
