Where's Grandma Been?

I'm sure my loyal friends have wondered what has happened to me the last few days. I do have very valid reasons for not posting. Thur Mike and I went on a little adventure to Jackpot that turned into quite the misadventure.

This is Lance's Rocket Ship. The darn thing died in Jackpot 1 1/2 years ago. A friend said that we could park it up there at his house and he would bring it down to us sometime. Well that never happened. Things finally worked out that we could get it. Mike rented a car dolly and off we went. (I had cub scouts at 3:30 and I told Mike that we would not be home in time for it.)

We got to Jackpot just fine and then.......................................... Mike soon discovered that the dolly had a very bad wheel bearing. So we went to Twin Falls to get a kit to fix it. That was no easy task. The car parts store found some, but not all that we needed. We were very close to Earl's work so we decided to go see what advice he could offer. His best advice was to look in the phone book. Mike found the store to go to and Earl helped us with directions and we were off. It was now 4:00 so parts needed to be found soon before all the parts stores closed. The store was able to help us out and we were on our way back to Jackpot. It was a very quick repair job, too bad it took us 2 hrs traveling and just about that long looking for parts. We were able to get the car home without any more incident, but, yes, I did miss cub scouts. We got home just after 9:00.

I have decided that for some reason that Rocket Ship likes Jackpot and it did not want to leave there. Mike now needs to see if he can get it running again.

Now you are asking, "OK, that was Thur but what about Fri's blog. Well my internet chose not to work last night. And we did have electrical issues with the camper yet again. I am learning that everything seems to work better when it is not raining. Of course my phone line strung across the ground along with the rain, could case some issues.

I will try to post pictures in a bit but here is the good news. We got all our cement poured and then the rains came. Good timing. They will be finished up here Wed and the house should ship Thur and Fri. I'm not sure if that means it arrives in Elko or if it arrives home. I'm sure I will be hearing more details.
