Well we gave the nice people lots and lots of money and promised to give them lots and lots more. Then they let us sign lots and lots of papers. Then Steph, Molly and I got to make lots and lots of decisions about linoleum and counter tops and back splash tile and carpet and valance colors. And then after 3 hours the nice people let us leave. They are supposed to order it tomorrow. We are supposed to be out of here on Mar 21. So I have lots and lots of work to do. I'm glad that my kids on their own free will, offered to come help out mom and dad. I bet they won't want to help us move back in. Except they will be anxious to see the new house.
So I have to tell you about picking out the colors. I took my webcam and lap top. Steph came over and we skyped Molly. It was lots of fun. I am very glad that we have mostly very similar tastes. We agreed on almost everything. I did have to use my veto power once on my bathroom colors. We agreed on everything except we had 2 options left for the back splash and we disagreed on that. So I won that one.
And then I think I gave in to them on the back splash tile in the guest bathroom. It was always the back splash tiles that caused the disagreements. Mike didn't like the choice of back splash tile in the kitchen. ( But nobody gave him a vote.) : ) By the time we got to the end, I wasn't caring much what anything looked like. And all I can tell you about it today is that everything is varying shades of brown. That was our color choices.
When Mike and I went back the next day, without any kids. The sales lady said that she went back in after we left and laid out my bathroom colors and she and the other ladies in the office liked my choices the best! It's probably an old lady thing.
Well as long as I have internet I will keep you posted on the house progress. I told Mike that I should probably go to Boise and supervise the construction of my house. I don't want them messsing up. : )
